For now, I will post an update every week with changes that I made in the week. I am not sure which day of the week, so we'll see when it will stabilize.
I continued working on a Custom Scenery asset for the indie game Parkitect. I started on late Decemeber an Egyptian theme. I was having fun and it looked very promising. I looked at tons of reference pictures and it looked like I had lots of props to do. I love it when I am busy with work.
Below is the image that gave me the inspiration and told me it is possible to make in CSGO. I didn't know it at the time, but that is a real roller coaster. It's OzIris in Parc Asterix.
Here is the original thread.
What I didn't write in the post is that that week 1, I spent on getting the base map to what I had in mind. I spent time working on the tracks of the coaster, which I kept as inverted, like in the reference image. I spent a day working on the car modeling. And a whole day on the hedges. Which were a big pain to lower the polygon count so something acceptable.
Here I will take the time to do a big shout out to:
Shawn Olson, Wall Worm Model Tools. Without his 3ds Max plugin tools, de_pharaoh could not exist. He is a magician.
Substance Designer 5. With this I can save so much time in the texturing process for the models.
Joris Ceoen. I am just a Silver 2 (Thanks rank re-shuffle), and his input helps the map to be competitive early on.
Below are the screenshots for the game.
